Bayside College is a small, friendly, family-run English College. The owners (Stephen and Sarah Fynmore) are at the College every day to look after the students and to help students feel at home in Melbourne.  Our mission is to teach the highest quality English courses and provide a friendly, relaxed environment so that you really enjoy your time in Melbourne. We are Australian owned and financially secure.

Bayside College has a wide mix of nationalities - we have students from Europe (Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Russia) South America (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Peru), South-east Asia (Korea, Japan, Thailand, Phillipines, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Taiwan) and Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan).

  • Bayside College teachers are highly experienced. All have specialist qualifications in teaching English as a second language.
  • Bayside College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and meets standards set by the Australian and Victorian Governments.
  • Bayside College is fully compliant and accredited with the Australian Qualification and Training Framework (AQTF) standards which means the qualifications earned at Bayside College are internationally recognised.

You’ll enjoy studying in our gorgeous light-filled mansion – just 200 metres from beautiful St Kilda Beach, and just a minute’s walk from the nearest tram-stop.

With large windows in every classroom, and a sunny garden for relaxing and socialising, you couldn’t ask for more.  All students have free computer and internet access and free tea, coffee and kitchen facilities.

You will learn about the unique Australian culture and lifestyle by simply getting out and exploring!  And that is so easy to do in a place like St Kilda and Melbourne, because there is so much to see and do – right at your doorstep.

St Kilda is a really vibrant suburb, and Bayside College is so close to some of Melbourne’s coolest bars, cafes, restaurants, and boutiques – many of them are in the same street, just metres from the College.

After classes, you can skate or ride a bike for miles along the scenic foreshore, sun-bathe, swim, or gaze into the windows of the world-famous Continental cake shops along Acland Street.

Or you may be tempted to just study in the morning, and relax on the beach all afternoon.
