Whatever your needs, our counsellors are there to help you Employment There are many job opportunities for students in Melbourne.  You can get jobs in: restaurants supermarkets cafes bars fruit and vegetable farms many other areas. If you hold a Student Visa, you are generally entitled to work 20 hours a week.  We can help and advise you on finding a job in Melbourne during your stay here.  Staff at Bayside College are happy to assist you to: prepare job applications seek employment obtain an Australian Tax File Number.   Culture Card Victoria Bayside College is proud to be an education partner in the Culture Card Victoria program.  Culture Card, which is a joint initiative of the Committee for Melbourne and the Victorian Government, offers students the opportunity to attend specifically tailored activities and destinations in Victoria, such as sporting events, arts performances and community experiences during their study years. Homestay accommodation We recommend Homestay accommodation, which is living with an Australian family. It is a reliable way to find a safe, reputable family to live with in Melbourne. And it is a fantastic way to: get to know Australian families live in a family home practise speaking English learn about the Australian way of life make Australian friends. Home-stay families provide students with: a private single room with a bed, desk, bed-linen, and towels 3 meals a day if you wish. All members of Bayside College's Homestay families aged 18 years and above must provide a current Victoria Police Clearance.  All families are assessed as to their home and personal suitability for providing Home-stay accommodation. A 24 hour emergency support service is provided to students to ensure peace of mind. Our representative driver will meet you at Melbourne Airport, and take you directly to your accommodation in Melbourne. Health Cover If students are travelling on a Student Visa, they must have Overseas Student Health Cover. Bayside College will arrange this for you with an Australian Health Fund. St Kilda St Kilda is an exciting, action-packed area to live in. Not only is it located on one of Melbourne’s most beautiful beaches, it is also full of: Restaurants Cafes Bars Clubs Shops Boutiques.     St Kilda has it all!                 Sports Bayside College is surrounded by many of Melbourne’s famous sporting facilities. Movies We arrange regular showings of the latest movies for students to enjoy. You can watch the latest “block-buster” movies – and improve your English at the same time!
